Laura: Welcome to the Women’s Roundtable podcast. Powered by the Think Factory, we relearn how women think big and grow their business. My name is Laura Siclari, a partner with Outside General Counsel Solutions, and I am the host of today’s episode. I am so glad to introduce today’s guest on the podcast, Derry Holland, who’s the CEO of Oaklands Integrated Care, which is a New Jersey based nonprofit organization that provides over 230 programs for adults, children and families living with mental illness, addiction or developmental disabilities. Derry, welcome to the show.
Derry: Thank you so much. I’m very happy to be here today. Wonderful.
Laura: So tell me all about Oaks Integrated Care and the type of services it provides. Because, you know, 230 programs, you obviously provide a lot.
Derry: We do, indeed. And I’m very proud of that. We are multifaceted. Our core services, really, one, are addressing mental health issues in the community from traditional outpatient and day programs to also providing group some level of care for individuals living with serious mental illness. We have a number of services for substance use disorder, which I’m very proud of. The expansion that we’ve had and providing addiction services from, again, outpatient to medication assisted treatment and when necessary, helping individuals engage with longer term treatment. And a number of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Which give me a few examples of some. Yeah. Provide any school based services for our population. We have day programs, we have pre-employment services and group home and supervised living. We have in our children and youth continuum services that are school based and we do work with youth who are on the autism spectrum as well as kids that are struggling with mental health issues in the school districts. So, you know, we really serve from infancy to the elderly in our least restrictive, which would be outpatient settings to some of our most acute, which is psychiatric screening and urgent mental health care to, you know, the most intense where we have people living with us really for most of their life. So it’s pretty broad.
