Laura Siclari: Welcome to the Women’s Round Table podcast powered by the Think Factory, where we learn how women think big and grow their business. My name is Laura Siclari and I’m a partner with Outside General Counsel Solutions and I am the host of today’s episode. This morning I am very excited to be speaking with Judith Watson, who is the CEO of Westchester Community Health Center. Westchester Community Health Center is a designated federally qualified Health Center that provides comprehensive primary and preventative health care to adults and children in low income neighborhoods across southern Westchester County, New York, northern parts of the Bronx. It’s mission. It’s to serve patients regardless of their ability to pay or their immigration status. Judith, welcome to the show.

Judith Watson: Thank you. Thrilled to be here.

Laura Siclari: I am so excited to talk about this today because we’ve never talked about FQHCS on any of my episodes, so I thought it would be a good learning experience for everybody. But before we get there, tell me about the history of WCHCI. Know it’s gone through some name changes fairly recently, but it’s been around a while, so tell me about it.

Judith Watson: All right, so WCHC, or Westchester Community Health Center is a federally qualified Health Center and it’s been in existence for over 50 years. In fact, we celebrated our 50th anniversary in December at our gala.

Laura Siclari: Congratulations.

Judith Watson: Thank you so much.
