I’m happy to be your host today. I am very pleased to have with me here Val Gonzalez, CFO of the Climate Reality Project. Welcome to the podcast, Val.

Alka Bahal: Oh, it’s our pleasure. Do you want to start us off by telling our listeners a little bit about yourself and what you do at the Climate Reality Project?
Val Gonzalez: Absolutely. So currently I am the Chief Financial Officer, like you said, of the Climate Reality Project. We are an environmental organization founded by former Vice President Al Gore.
And our mission is that we recruit, train and mobilize people of all ages and backgrounds to to catalyze the climate climate solution so we can power through the transition from fossil fuels.
To renewable and clean energy. I’ve been with the organization since November 2023, so two years and some change and we are a small but mighty organization and we plan to be here until we.
