Chris Santomassimo: I’m your host today, Chris Santomassimo from OGC Solutions, and really excited to talk about software in the printing market and the packaging markets.

In particular, everybody who thinks about software these days, I think, as a knee-jerk, if nothing else, wants to hear about powering software with AI and harnessing the value and the features and the value and more productivity and other things with AI. And so that’s what we’re going to talk about today and focusing a little bit more on who our guest is today. We’ve got Kris Hanchette, who’s the president of EngView Systems. And welcome to the podcast, Kris.

Kris Hanchette: Hey, thanks, Chris. I’m happy to be here.

Chris Santomassimo: Happy to have you. You know, I’ve said it before on some of the episodes that we’ve done that the printing and the packaging industries are fascinating for lots of reasons, but especially now as providers like EngView spend their time with developments that are going to provide overall solutions to their customers, in particular, harnessing that value of AI. And that’s exactly what EngView does.

I’d love to hear not only about you and your background, but also reintroduce or introduce folks that listen to the podcast to EngView and what you’re doing. So take it away.

Kris Hanchette: Yeah, so thanks for the kickoff and the introduction. You know, let’s just kind of go back just a little bit. I originally learned to, like, program in the sixth grade. I’m 54 years old now, and I ended up getting my degrees in electronics and robotics and was trying to figure out, you know, where I wanted to be on my mission.
