Susan Kleiner: Hello and welcome to the Women’s Round Table and Wellness podcast powered by the Think Factory, where we learn how people think big and grow their business. My name is Susan Kleiner. I’m a partner with Outside General Counsel Solutions, and I’m the host of today’s episode. I’m happy to have here with me today. Lovepreet Buttar, Lovepreet is a managing director with Mercadian’s nonprofit and Human Services group. She has extensive experience performing and overseeing audit engagements for various nonprofit organizations, including association schools, private foundations, and Health and Human services organizations. She is passionate about helping these organizations support their constituents and achieve their mission. She’s also the head of Mercadian’s Audit and Assurance Practice and is responsible for both firm wide and engagement specific quality control matters and training for various profit, not-for-profit and government public entities. In this role, she helps ensure that the firm is using best practices that are compliant with generally accepted accounting principles. Lovepreet frequently speaks at conferences and events hosted by various organizations such as the New Jersey Association of Community Providers, the Council of Nonprofits, the Center of Nonprofits, Princeton Merger, Princeton, Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Princeton Community Works, to name a few. I guess there’s more. Driven by giving back, she commits much of her free time to serving on boards and committees including the Princeton Area Community Foundation, the Burlington Women, Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council, and the West Windsor Arts Council. And also I thought it was interesting to note that she is Co chair of Mercadians Diversity, Equity and inclusion initiative, where she’s responsible for helping plan and execute the firm’s DEI strategy. So that’s quite an introduction and I think I could have said even more. So it’s a real pleasure to have you here with us today.

Lovepreet Buttar: Thank you, Susan.

Susan Kleiner: I’m, I’m happy to be here and chat with you. Yeah. So could, yeah, could you, so just could you just tell us a little bit about Mercadian?

Lovepreet Buttar: Sure. Absolutely. So Mercadian is a full financial, full service financial firm. We’ve been around for over 60 years. We actually recently celebrated our 60th anniversary. So I’m very proud of that.
