Chris Santomassimo: Welcome back to the Think Factory podcast, powered by OGC Solutions, and I’m your host today, Chris Santomassimo from OGC Solutions, and I’m really excited to be on site in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois at Darwell, and sitting with me in the room here is Mark DeBoer, the Senior Vice President of Sales. Welcome to the podcast.
Mark DeBoer: Hey, Chris, thanks for having me.
Chris Santomassimo: As I said, the offices look beautiful, and we’re actually not at one of your print facilities. We’re in your corporate offices. In my opinion, it really demonstrates some of what we’re going to talk about today, which is the digital transformation of the company on several levels. For folks that may not be familiar with Darwell and maybe not familiar with Mark DeBoer, I’d love to hear a little bit about the history of the company and you and your role with the company.
Mark DeBoer: Sounds good. I’ll start with just the company first because I could talk about me, but I’ll start with the company first. Darlene and William were the names of the kids of the original founder, thus the name Darwell. We used to be called Darwell Printing, Darwell Press, and we decided that we were not going to have press or printing in our name because we’re doing a lot more than that these days. As you referenced, the digital transformation has taken place, not just in an offset to digital environment, but also just with digital being a real strong part of the marketing mix that a client should have. As we have evolved to that, we’ve dropped the name.
