Alka Bahal: Welcome to the Think Factory’s Workplace Podcast, powered by OGC Solutions, the podcast where we explore the ever-evolving landscape of workplace dynamics. My name is Alka Bahal. I am a partner with Outside General Counsel Solutions and the chair of our Corporate Immigration Services Group. I’ll be your host today.
I’m very pleased to have here with me Timothy Moore, Vice President and Head of Legal and Compliance at Corium. Welcome to the podcast, Tim!
Tim Moore: Thank you for having me, Alka. It’s a pleasure to be here this morning.
Alka Bahal: Absolutely, my pleasure. Can you share a little bit about what you do and tell us about Corium?
Tim Moore: Happy to do so. As the Head of Legal and Compliance for Corium, I’m responsible for all the legal and compliance matters for the company. I’m also the company secretary, so I work closely with our board, our management team, and the other functional teams to advance the various goals that we have as a commercial stage pharma company. So everything from intellectual property to commercial matters to compliance, privacy, all of that is my privilege to support the company with navigating as we chart a course towards the future.
Alka Bahal: . Very nice. Now, you started out your career in State Attorney’s Office, went to AG’s office, and then you were in private practice for a while before moving into this in-house role. Can you walk us through your journey from private practice to in-house in legal at Corium?
Tim Moore: Happy to do that. I count myself as very fortunate in having both the public, private, and in-house perspectives. I think that this has given me the benefit of being able to draw from the best of what each of those very different worlds can offer to you as a lawyer as you’re going through your career and navigating.
