Chris Santomassimo: Powered by OGC Solutions and I’m here with a new friend Jonathan Hawkins.

You are the first lawyer other than anybody from OGC Solutions to be interviewed on this podcast. So Jonathan, so we broke some new ground today. Jonathan is the owner of Law Firm GC, so welcome to the podcast.

Jonathan Hawkins: Thanks Chris, thanks for having me.

Chris Santomassimo: You know, why don’t you just bring on other lawyers for fun. I thought your practice is a really interesting one.

Not only does it synergize with what we do, but you’re really focused on the law firm market and being the general counsel for law firms. I’d love for you to talk a little bit more about the firm and then we’ll kind of go from there.

Jonathan Hawkins: Sure, so our firm, you know, the way I sort of describe it is we represent lawyers and law firms from inception to death, basically disillusion from start to finish.

So we can help firms get off the ground, help partnerships come together, also when they’re breaking apart or if the law firm’s closing, if they’re selling, if they’re buying, if they’re merging, all the things that sort of happen in a law practice. And then on top of that, we do serve in an advisory role, sort of outside general counsel, so ethics advice, just business advice, advisory conflicts, all those sorts of things. And then the last piece, which I had never done and personally, so I brought in some some folks that did it, would be sort of the legal malpractice defense and bar grievance defense.
